Creating art is unlike anything else in the world. If asked to describe it I would use one word and that is worship. Every stroke I paint is not for my own glory or praise, but to express the greatness of my Creator and Inspiration. My heart gets poured into all of my work. There have literally been tears and sweat mixed into my paint along with many fervent prayers. Without my daily relationship with God, I wouldn’t have the strength to lift a brush or the talent to move it across the canvas. When I paint I want to express something more than a fleeting moment, I want to give the viewer an experience that will cause them see the world in a new way. I often notice small things, which others never even see and I want to show them a piece of my imagination, so they can see through my eyes the joy and beauty of the world around them. I like to look at the world as though a child, first experiencing it, in awe and wonder at every object. This doesn’t remove the pain and suffering from life, but focuses on the beautiful and miraculous. Everyday situations can be expressed as such. I want people to start noticing the objects and lives right in front of their eyes and to never take them for granted.
